Organize the chaos

The internet offers us access to unlimited information, but unlimited information is messy and confusing. How do you make it accessible? Organize the chaos with online information organizers. I use several tools to organizes different types of information: LibraryThing organizes my books, iTunes my music, GoogleDocs my academics, Diigo my bookmarked websites, Pathfinders my research directions for students, and Netvibes my career interests. You can use ABEL Moodle to organize class work.

Students will be intrigued with the colour and dynamics of the Glogster interactive poster tool, and LibraryThing is addictive to readers and book collectors. Diigo is a senior level website bookmarking and annotation tool for collecting and categorizing websites. A Pathfinder is a collection of various types of resources that help students to get directly to work on a research assignment. A Pathfinder might  direct students to websites, databases, print resources, and video/audio files.
